Our Vision:
Jackson Park Bar and Grill is Chicago in “grand style”. Enter through the etched glass revolving doors into a magnificent 9,000 square foot restaurant that effortlessly melds Chicago’s stunning Beaux Arts style of architecture with today’s cosmopolitan comforts. White pillars, marble floors and Travertine tile meet dramatic ‘cloud-like’ light fixtures, plush high back candle-lit banquettes and a 34-foot mahogany bar with ‘extension trays’.

In the kitchen, Chef and Co-Owner Jason Paskewitz crafts ‘Contemporary Chicago Cuisine’ described as delicious modern-day Chicago dishes inspired by Italian, French and classic American traditions. The approachable menu has something for everyone and is designed to keep diners coming back for more. Popular soups and salads; grilled steaks, chops, and fish; pasta and risotto (half and whole portions), and a daily seasonal prix fixe menu including a vegetarian option – introduce guests to Chicago’s renowned hospitality from the moment they open the menu. The menu is wine friendly too, as it should be with highly esteemed wine personality Robert Houde, formerly of Charlie Trotter’s, hand selecting the restaurant’s 500-bottle wine list. The wine list is heavily weighted towards American selections and runs the gamut from ‘show stoppers’ to ‘any day-of-the-week’ bottles.

The 34-foot mahogany bar with 20 seats is its own destination. Guests can comfortably enjoy the full restaurant menu on linen-covered ‘extension trays’ that extend from the bar to meet the guest. The trays make for a most civilized dining experience at the bar.


Interior Design:
Stanton Interior Concepts Inc. has taken an old record mart space and transformed it into a spectacularly modern Beaux Arts stage for diners to experience the best of Chicago dining. Bold design details such as Travertine floors and walls, custom mosaic tiles, a marble staircase, expansive columns, a glass-enclosed, double-sided, floor-to-ceiling wine cellar and ceilings wrapped in dreamy ‘cloud-like’ fabric all combine to create an elegant dining room like no other in the city. Yet despite the grandeur of the setting, the 34-foot mahogany bar with individual extension trays at each seat, high-back plush banquettes, candle-lit window seats and crimson carpeting maintain a warmth and intimacy. Such intimacy invites diners to stay a while and make the Jackson Park experience their very own.
